- Search Windows for Devices. Then go to Devices and Printers.
- Click Add a Printer
- A window opens where you can Choose a device or printer to add.
- If you can find your printer in the list, select it and follow the instructions on screen to install the print driver. After successful installation, you can start using your printer.
- Conversely use the “add the printer using Add a local printer or Network printer” to add your local printer device and click Next
- Select a port for your printer. For eg, USB001 for a USB connected printer. Then click Next.
- Click on Windows Update. Wait for print drivers to update.
- Select HP in the manufacturer pane and then click the name of your printer in the Printer’s pane.
- If your printer is in the list, just install the driver. Now your printer is ready to use.
- If your printer is not in the list, go to Find a printer by other options step by clicking back arrow.
- Select Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname and then click Next.
- Then select Autodetect from the Device Type drop-down list.
- Type your printer IP address into the text box and then click Next.
- Wait till the computer detects the printer and connect to it. Then install the printer driver with 123.hp.com/setup support.
