I have a cacti (0.8.7c) installation on a CentOS box. Monitors about 40 switches, 5 routers and a few servers. Was working fine for years. Logged into it on Friday: all the graphs were missing with error: The RRD file does not exist

We are now ready to add our first Windows Server. Under devices/add. Now select create graphs for this host and select the statistics you want to gather. Click create and do not change anything on the next screen. Select create again. There are additional drop downs for Disk, memory and network stats. Make sure to go through select those as well. Cacti, an open source network graphing application, utilises RRDTool, a data logging and graphing system for time series data. Read on to learn more about it. Cacti monitors both the incoming and the outgoing ADSL traffic on my Cisco 877W ADSL router. Cacti.poller_time OK. Cacti.rra OK. Cacti.rra_cf OK. See how to install cacti for windows at. Mysqldwill be running, and the command prompt can not be used anymore. Open another command prompt. Cacti RRD graphs are not updated and the application slow. 303340164 Apr 15 09:32 poller_output.MYD. My Cacti appliance is running smoothly and the poller. Cacti Migration. I got everything running I think but Spine is not polling properly it seems as no new data (old data from previous shows up). Seeing following in logs: - POLLER: Poller[0] Maximum runtime of 298 seconds exceeded.

Cacti is looking for the RRD in /var/www/html/rra/ but this directory is empty. and was not being backed up.

Even If i try and create a new device and then add a graph I get the same issue: RRD does not exit

It seems like there are a couple of issues:

  1. Cacti can locate RRD files that already existed

  2. Cacti cannot create new RRD files

Anyone have any thoughts on a way to resolve this issue short of a complete rebuild?
